Lawton Tubes – Grounds maintenance

Newman received an enquiry from Lawton Tubes earlier this year to Landscape a selected area within their car park that can be used by the staff to relax and mingle during their lunch or tea breaks.

A number of meetings took place to agree on the design and the project was started in July 2022 and completed in August 2022.

Newman secured a grounds maintenance contract for Lawton Tubes’ entire site, including the maintenance of the ‘relax garden’ we recently completed.

The grounds maintenance contract is as follows:

We will visit the site fortnightly from March – October, plus one visit per month from November-February, for a total of 20 visits per year. This includes one man for 1.5 hours of working time.

The specification includes:

• Hedge Cutting – All shrubs to be cut fortnightly as needed to keep them in the best condition.
  Spraying – All spraying operatives at Newman Landscapes are qualified with PA1 and PA6 licences and will spray hard-standing areas only.
• Leaf collection – This will be done from October – December. All areas will be free from leaves, which will be removed from site.

There will also be a 12-month schedule of visits.
